Looks Like There’s Some Controversy Over Idris Elba Playing Heimdall In THOR!!!

February 27, 2011 2 comments

LMFAO are we NOT in 2011…Lets be real people last time I checked Othello was played by a white man (in two movies) yet he was a Moor, Will Smith played in Wild Wild West but his character James West was actually a white guy and from what I can recall if we want to be politically correct for this movie isn’t Thor suppose to have red hair and a red beard???  I swear its hilarious how much people can fight over how a certain race should not be portraying another race in movies.  Get over yourself people it’s a movie based on a got damn comic book no one said this was based on fact.

Anywho again from what I can recall there was a Thor comic book, I think it was called Thor: The Mighty Avenger where Heimdall was actually drawn as a BLACK MAN!  *sigh* And if you people would like to debate me please see below I’m always on point with my comic books and graphic novels:

And from what I can tell from the trailer this seems to be the Heimdall that they are portraying in the movie.  Maybe the movie will be based on this comic series…anyways *rolling eyes* I can’t wait to see the movie and I’m just hoping Idris will give a great performance!

In *Movie Rumor* News: John Travolta Is Rumored To Play John Gotti In Biopic

January 26, 2011 Leave a comment

As you guys already know I LOVE me some John Travolta and if this rumor is true I would love to see how he would portray one of the worst crime bosses in history.   I can totally see John playing this role but I need more details on if this is actually going to be coming to the big screen!  Anywho, I wonder why they are doing another biopic for Gotti, they did something back in 1996 I mean it was made for television but still isn’t 1 enough.  And I might add Armand Assante did a phenomenal job portraying Gotti so what’s the purpose of this remake.

“John Travolta will play the role of John Gotti in an upcoming film on the legendary mob boss, reported Tuesday.

Marty Ingels, the producer of the film based on Gotti’s life, told the gossip site that Travolta will play the lead role.

Travolta – dining with Ingels at an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles on Monday night – was more coy, refusing to discuss the role.

Sources told that James Franco has been approached to play John A. (Junior) Gotti in the film, which will be directed by Nick Cassavetes.”  source

I”m all for a gangster flick but honestly Gotti is not the boss who should be getting a second biopic.  He was a very horrible and unorganized boss.  Now, if they really wanted to do a biopic on a crime boss why not do one on one of my favorites Vincent “Chin” Gigante…he was a serious gangster and the fact that he was able to fool the judicial system for 10 years into believing he was mentally ill because he walked around  Greenwich Village in his bathrobe and slippers all while mumbling incoherently to himself. LMFAO!  Now that is a movie I would want to see

I totally loved this guy!  I first saw him act in Romeo + Juliet the movie…I had no idea he had cancer he was just in the movie the Town as well!  GEESH!!!  Damn he was definitely hands down one of the best actors in the world!!!  If you don’t know about Pete then your just a lame azz who doesn’t know SH*T about movies!!! or real acting for that matter!

“Celebrated British actor Pete Postlethwaite has died.

The 64-year-old passed away in a hospital in central England on Sunday, longtime friend Andrew Richardson told England’s Press Association.

Postlethwaite had been battling cancer, he said.

The award-winning thespian had appeared in movies and television shows for years, but gained international fame as Mr. Kobayashi in 1995’s “The Usual Suspects.”

He followed the role with praised performances in numerous films, including “Brassed Off,” “Romeo + Juliet” and “The Shipping News.” He most recently appeared in last year’s “Inception,” “Clash of the Titans” and “The Town.”

Director Steven Spielberg called Postlethwaite “the best actor in the world,” and cast him in two of his movies in the 1990s, “The Lost World” and “Amistad.” source

As you can see he was in nothing but great movies and his acting skills where nothing short of amazing!!! I last seen him shut it down in the movie The Town!! Where he played a gangsta florist! LMFAO you got to love him!!!

Spike Lee’s “Malcolm X” Will Be Added To The Library Of Congress…*hand clap hand clap*

This was a pretty great movie…I’ve always felt Denzel should have gotten an oscar for this movie and the movie “Glory”.  Anywho, The Library of Congress announced on Tuesday that Malcolm X along with 24 other films will be selected  to be preserved in its National Film Registry.   Back in 1989, the National Film Registry was created to preserve films with artistic, cultural or historical meaning.

Even though some great african american movies such as “Boyz in the Hood”, “Enter the Dragon”,  and “Shaft” have already been added to the National Film Registry, it looks like this is the first for a  biographical motion picture (well about a black person at least I guess)….does that even make sense! Well it does to me so I’m gonna leave it at that! HMPH!!!

Even though this post is about Malcolm X,  two other movies which I actually consider favorites made it into the National Film Registry…. “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Saturday Night Fever”!

Galaxy defenders…Yes I love this movie and I’m hyped as HELL that part 3 is coming out! HA! Judge me if you want to, it turns me on got damnit!!!

I totally love Will Smith… even though I am still deeply hurt and scorned that he turned down the role of Neo from the Matrix to do the Wild West movie *hard blank stare* but we are NOT going to get into that.  I must say parts 1 and 2 are on my favorite movies of all time list so they better come correct with part 3.  I wonder if it’s too late for me to get a spot as an Alien! I mean hey my grandmother always said I looked like ET might as well see if I can get a few dollars for it!

See and people said the world was going to end in 2012….Shieeeeeeeeet *in my Uncle Lindsay voice* not with all these good movies coming out!

I wanna learn Kung-Fu!!!!

OK so ummmm why do I say this every time after I watch The Karate Kid (new or old LMFAO)… anywho I’m sure you know where this is leading into…Yes, I just saw the remake of The Karate Kid and lets say OMG loved it!!!!

First, can I just say that when I was watching the damn movie I saw nothing but a young Will Smith.  Now, not in a bad way I’m just talking about his facial expressions and some of his movements (like when Will rocks sideways when he looks like he  is about to cry or some shat! YUP!).  However, he does look like Jada when he cries…so she did play a part in the pregnancy LMFAO…sorry just being an ass! LOVE YOU JADA!

Jaden Smith is one phenomenal actor, I mean yeah its in his blood and what not but he has a very powerful presence on the screen.  I just knew he was going to be a force to be reckoned with when he played in “The Day The Earth Stood Still” (don’t front you wanted to jump into the screen and fight his damn azz).  Now, honestly that’s how you know that someone is a great actor/actress they can draw you into that character make you believe their character.  SHAT, I was almost to the point where if I saw him in the street I would have taken off my belt and got in his azz! HMPH!

He’s definitely going to go very very far! And with parents like Will and Jada will make sure he stays on the right path to make it big.
